Ready to step into the future of electrical work?
If you're a qualified sparky who wants to break into the booming solar and battery industry – without taking a pay cut or needing years of experience first – this is the role for you.
Plico Energy runs WA's largest independent Virtual Power Plant, with 45MWh+ of batteries powering homes across the state.
We're expanding our in-house team and looking for a smart, motivated electrician who wants to develop specialised renewable-energy skills while earning top rates.
What you'll be doing
Fault-finding, diagnosing and repairing residential solar & battery systems
Performing routine maintenance and occasional assistance on new installs
Working safely to WA regulations and Plico standards
Providing professional, friendly on-site support to members
Participating in training to build your solar & battery knowledge
Supervising an apprentice / TA and helping shape the next generation of clean-energy sparkies
This role suits an electrician who enjoys problem-solving, variety, and working with new technology—rather than doing the same repetitive electrical work every day.
What we're looking for
WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
White Card + Working at Heights
Good fault-finding skills and neat workmanship
Confident communicator with customers
Experience with solar / battery systems is great but not required
SAA Accreditation is a bonus – or we'll support you fully to get it
If you're keen to learn, we'll teach you everything you need.
What we offer
$65–$85 / hr + penalties + overtime
$5k sign-on bonus (paid at end of probation)
Full support to achieve your SAA Solar / Battery Accreditation
Company-supplied Milwaukee power tools
Laptop, phone and iPad
Discounts / allowance for your own solar + battery system
Genuine career pathway into solar installation, system commissioning, renewables tech and VPP operations
If you're currently working with an apprentice you like, we'll happily bring them along too
We're a fast-growing, WA-born clean-energy company with a mission to transform homes into a distributed renewable power station.
You'll be joining a tight-knit team, working with cutting-edge technology, and developing skills that will set you up for the next decade of electrical work.
If you want to build a future-proof electrical career—and be part of something that's genuinely good for WA—apply today.
