Role Description
LAB FAB is seeking a skilled Boilermaker for a full-time hybrid role based in Orange, NSW, with flexibility for occasional remote work. The Boilermaker will be responsible for carrying out welding and metal fabrication tasks, interpreting blueprints for projects, and operating relevant equipment such as TIG welders and oxy-acetylene tools. Responsibilities include constructing, maintaining, and repairing steel structures and machinery for industries like mining, construction, and agriculture.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in welding techniques, including TIG welding and oxy-acetylene operations.
* Experience in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
* Skilled in metal fabrication and construction, with attention to precision and detail.
* Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a workshop or industrial setting.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills.
* Formal qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, will be highly regarded.
* Previous experience in mining, construction, or industrial settings is a plus.
