Water Service Performance
Logan Water is seeking a dynamic support officer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of water services for our growing city.
This position provides high-level executive and business support to the General Manager and Managers, across the Water Service Performance (WSP) Branch, ensuring effective leadership, streamlined governance, and delivery of high-quality outcomes.
As valued members of Logan Water, the Branch Support Officer will:
* Enable effective leadership and governance by coordinating business support requirements across their respective streams.
* Drive operational excellence through streamlined processes, adopted templates, and timely administrative coordination.
* Support strategic outcomes by equipping Logan Water with the information, processes, and capabilities needed to meet customer, community, and commercial obligations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by bringing ideas, leadership, and subject matter expertise to enhance business administration services.
This role is central to ensuring Logan Water continues to deliver for the city, its customers, and the community.
Position Responsibilities include:
* Provide high-level executive support to the General Manager and Managers of WSP ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity in all matters.
* Manage diaries, schedules, and events for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination.
* Handle communications by monitoring correspondence, drafting responses, and managing the flow of reports, memos, and enquiries.
* Organise governance meetings including agenda preparation, minute-taking, invitations, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
* Prepare documents and reports such as briefing papers, presentations, file notes, and research material.
* Support financial processes including credit card reconciliations, budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
* Coordinate travel and conference arrangements including bookings, itineraries, and registrations.
* Contribute to business improvement by streamlining administrative procedures, supporting project work, and fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture.
Key indicators for success:
* Extensive experience in business/administration at a senior level
* Lead and deliver critical business support services under pressure with limited direction
* Interpret and distil technical information to provide proactive support
* Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines accurately
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite with intermediate to advanced skills
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills with high-quality writing ability
* High-level organisational and time management skills in fast-paced environments
* Ability to work across the business to coordinate and support efficient operation
* Possession of a current "C" class driver's licence.
