Outstanding chances await a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join a close-knit Critical Care Team at a private hospital in Melbourne. Opportunities are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, with work schedules following a rotating roster.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the nursing team in planning, assessing, implementing, and evaluating excellent standards of evidence-based, person-centred patient care;
* Demonstrating professional practice by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, codes of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements, and Healthscope’s policies and processes;
* Fostering a learning environment through delivering clinical presentations, supporting the nursing team’s professional development, maintaining own professional learning, ensuring continuous professional development, and providing supervision and teaching to peers, graduates, and students;
* Acting as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team by contributing to team processes and practices to deliver exceptional patient care;
* Collaborating with external partners to ensure patients receive high-quality care across the healthcare continuum;
* Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners, applying a customer service mindset to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current registration with AHPRA;
* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in ICU;
* Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards;
* Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care- ICU (desirable).

The hospital, located in Melbourne's northwestern suburbs, is a fully accredited 186-bed major surgical, acute medical, and emergency facility. With a 12-cubicle Emergency Department, 5 operating theatres, a 12-bed critical care complex, and a busy Day Procedure Unit, the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community. The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.
