Project Manager Role Overview


We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and deliver our smaller E&I projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from commencement to completion.



Key Responsibilities


* Assume responsibilities of Senior/Project Manager during periods of leave.

* Provide administrative support and scheduling.

* Act as the nominated customer contact, providing customer liaison, integration with relevant business lines and suppliers.

* Oversee all aspects of project delivery in accordance with our procedures, processes, policies, contract requirements, and relevant regulations and industry standards.

* Develop and present professional progress and financial reports.

* Manage small project teams and associated site activities.

* Prepare project files (execution strategy, project management plan, quality plan, project schedule, and other key documents) in SAP.

* Conduct budget, scope of works, and contract commercial reviews.

* Chair client kick-off meetings and coordinate delivery of commercial documents.

* Ensure clear understanding of project requirements (SOW) and battery limits, conformity to regulations and standards.

* Maintain detailed project schedule and monitor for milestone achievement.

* Prepare internal and external progress reports and participate in steering committee meetings.

* Develop and maintain risk registers and implement risk mitigation strategies.

* Attend customer design review meetings and HAZOPS sessions.

* Monitor engineering progress and ensure timely provision of specifications and drawings.

* Coordinate compilation of project documentation.

* Facilitate flow of technical documents between us, customers, and suppliers.

* Prepare purchase requisitions and manufacturing specifications for procurement.

* Prepare and review ITPs and MDR dossiers.

* Prepare packing lists, shipping instructions, and coordinate unloading activities.

* Compose written communications to customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

* Support proposals group with estimates and proposals.

* Carry out special assignments delegated by the Manager of Projects.

* Perform any other activities required by the role.




Requirements


* Strong leadership and influencing skills.

* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

* Excellent organisational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines.

* Five or more years' exposure and knowledge related to the mining industry, specifically within electrical and control systems engineering.

* Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Control Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering.

* Strong mathematical capabilities.

* Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, MS Project, and SAP.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Current driver's licence and vehicle.

* Current passport.




Preferred Qualifications


* Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Business Management.

* Chartered Engineer.

* Demonstrated experience in Functional Safety.

* Demonstrated experience in requirements management software.

* Excellent scheduling skills.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.

* Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Excellent troubleshooting skills.

* Excellent project coordinator skills.
