Allygroup is seeking highly motivated and experienced APS6 and EL1 Procurement and Contract Management Specialists for a 12‑month labour‑hire engagement within a high‑profile government agency. The initial term is expected to run from April/May 2026 to April/May 2027, with the possibility of a further 12‑month extension.
About the Role
Successful candidates will operate within a specialised Procurement and Contracts team, managing end‑to‑end procurement and contract management activities in accordance with the PGPA Act 2013, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), procurement‑connected policies, and relevant internal frameworks.
All duties will be undertaken with minimal direction, requiring strong initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to deliver high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑paced and complex environment.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens holding a current NV1 security clearance (or higher) and be Canberra‑based, with the ability to work on a full‑time basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage complex end-to-end procurements
* Conduct market research, prepare documentation, run evaluations, negotiate, and manage contract awards
* Provide expert procurement advice to stakeholders
* Manage supplier relationships, risks, disputes, variations, and contract performance
* Administer AusTender processes and prepare simple and complex government contracts (including MOUs)
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 4 years' government procurement experience
* Strong knowledge of the PGPA Act and CPRs
* Experience using the Commonwealth Contracting Suite (CCS)
* Ability to demonstrate complex procurements you have led or supported
* Relevant procurement/contract management qualifications (desirable)
* SAP experience (highly desirable)
