About the opportunity
We are currently seeking a proactive, hands on, "roll your sleeves up," Production Manager who thrives on great communication. The successful applicant will have excellent people / management skills, the ability to time manage, and the capability to adapt to changes in order to meet organisational requirements.
Reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing, the primary purpose of this role is to meet production schedule targets, supervise the team and cleaning of the production areas, whilst ensuring health, safety, environmental, quality, customer service and budget requirements are met.
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Building strong cohesive teams
* Team Management and Leadership
* Maintaining GMP Standards
* Compliance to HACCAP & other Quality Certifications
* Production Scheduling and Efficiency
* Ensuring all SOP's are current
* Arranging &/or executing team member training
* Monitoring and meeting labour targets, production targets, and budgets
About you
You will be someone with a passion for production, has a \"hands-on, can do\" approach and the desire to make life easier for all the team. The ideal candidate will have/be:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Food Manufacturing role
* A highly motivated team player who actively engages with the team
* Efficient planning and organisational skills
* Flexible and outcome focused
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify improvements
* Demonstrated initiative with problem solving skills
* The ability to determine priorities, multi-task and meet strict deadlines under pressure
* Able to build strong relationships
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Resilience and a great deal of emotional intelligence
* Enjoy working side by side with team members as you teach them new skills
