We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Chef to oversee the culinary operations of our beachfront venue. With a menu inspired by South East Asian street food, we offer a vibrant dining experience overlooking beautiful Catseye Beach.
The restaurant's innovative menu fuses bold Asian flavours with a relaxed Australian twist, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more.
As Lead Chef, you'll have the exciting opportunity to put your creative stamp on a menu that celebrates fresh local produce, punchy flavours and playful sharing plates.
You will lead and inspire a passionate team, delivering exceptional dishes and memorable dining moments in one of Hamilton Island's most iconic venues.

Your Role
* Live on island in a full-time, permanent leadership position at the heart of the Whitsundays
* Manage a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment with a focus on consistency and quality
* Lead and develop a passionate, talented team, fostering a culture of growth and professionalism
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to execute the vision and elevate the offering

About You
* Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent (Essential)
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Essential)
* Minimum 4–5 years' experience in Sous Chef or Head Chef position
* Previous experience in managing a team
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
* Reliable and flexible attitude
* Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
* Previous experience in Asian Hawker Style cuisine is desirable
