An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader - Emergency Recovery / Resilience to fill a leadership role within Council's Community Wellbeing and Partnerships Department. This role is responsible for engaging and supporting residents and communities in leading safe, healthy and happy lives through natural disaster recovery services, resilience building initiatives and sustained and meaningful engagement. The incumbent will have experience in leading long-term community and business recovery from natural disasters and will report directly to the Manager Community Wellbeing and Partnerships.
It is desirable that you possess appropriate qualifications in a related field such a community development, social planning or emergency management. You will have an understanding of community engagement, project management, budgeting/finance management and as well as an understanding of Local Government.
An attractive salary package will be offered that reflects the responsibility and accountability of the position. The salary classification for this position is Band 7 in accordance with the Victorian Local Authorities Award 2001.
