We are seeking an Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of programs and services to support the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal individuals and communities.
Job Description
The Aboriginal Health Practitioner will work closely with our team to develop and implement culturally appropriate health promotion programs, provide individual and group counseling, and coordinate outreach services to reach remote and disadvantaged communities.
* Culturally Safe Practice: Develop and maintain relationships with local community members and leaders to ensure that our programs are culturally safe and effective.
* Health Promotion: Design and deliver health promotion programs that address the unique needs and priorities of Aboriginal individuals and communities.
* Counseling and Support: Provide individual and group counseling to Aboriginal individuals and families in need.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as social work, counseling, or health science.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience working with Aboriginal individuals and communities, with a strong understanding of cultural safety and protocol.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve program objectives.
