Aviation Safety Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Aviation Safety Officer. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the safe operation of our airport.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our aeronautical safety and security facilities. You will inspect, monitor, report, and maintain these facilities to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety and security.
Responsibilities
* Inspect and monitor aeronautical safety and security facilities to identify potential hazards and risks.
* Report any issues or concerns to management in a timely and effective manner.
* Maintain accurate records of all inspections, reports, and maintenance activities.
* Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
* Provide training and guidance to colleagues on safety procedures and protocols.
* Respond to emergencies and incidents in accordance with airport protocols.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in safety and security operations, preferably in an aviation environment.
* Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures, including emergency response and incident management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to interpret and understand manuals, technical drawings, and written instructions.
* Computer skills, including proficiency in software applications relevant to the role.
* Senior First Aid Certificate and Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency.

* Experience operating equipment and plant such as tractors, slashers, brush cutters and lawn mowers in an airport environment.
* Ability to interpret and understand manuals, technical drawings, written instructions as well as possessing computer skills.
* Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail, effective teamwork, and clear communication with diverse stakeholders.
