About the Role
The Clinical Midwife Consultant – Safety and Quality will be responsible for assisting clinical staff to practice contemporary, evidence-based maternity care. This involves working collaboratively to build a quality improvement and patient safety culture, while providing clinical leadership and support.
* Data management and outcome reporting will be key components of this role, ensuring that clinical care aligns with endorsed procedures and guidelines.
* You will also assist in the management of clinical incidents and contribute to the development of a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and guidance to midwives and other healthcare professionals.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and safety.
* Maintain accurate records and reports related to data management and outcome reporting.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures.
* Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
* A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licence with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife (RM).
* A postgraduate qualification or current enrolment in a postgraduate program in a relevant area of study is highly desirable.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence and ability to travel to various facilities or units within the NWHHS.
* Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to certain diseases.
