This includes making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.About The RoleThe successful applicant will demonstrate the following key capabilities:Extensive knowledge of copyright legislation and intellectual property principles within the Queensland Public Sector.Demonstrated high level skills in identifying and advising on copyright and other intellectual property issues that may affect departmental publications in a range of media and platforms either independently, or as a member of a team.Proven capacity to work collaboratively as an effective team member in the design, delivery and monitoring of information services.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage tasks and conflicting priorities, and meet deadlines within a high-volume operational environment focusing on copyright and other intellectual property rights.High level skills in oral and written communication, with the ability to consult and negotiate the acquisition of copyright licenses, and to engage collaboratively with stakeholders and content creators who may not have copyright expertise.Responsibilities IncludeAs the Senior Information Coordinator, you will:Provide high quality information services to meet the needs of departmental staff and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate advice in copyright and other intellectual property rights.Use expert knowledge of current copyright legislation, along with high level research and analytical skills, to determine who owns copyright in works to be included in departmental publications, and, when required, obtain and manage licences.Assist with the development and implementation of the copyright procedure and relevant guides, fact sheets and training materials.Other information management activities as directed that are within the skills and capabilities expected of this position.Interested?
