Based at our Melbourne Portables Branch, the Transport Coordinator is responsible for arranging the safest, most cost-effective and efficient transport of equipment for the Coates Business. This can be for interstate, intrastate or customer requirements.
Responsibilities
* Source transport services for delivery and pickup of equipment for Coates branches.
* Schedule daily deliveries in Coates' transport management software using both Coates' drivers and contractor drivers.
* Liaise with Fleet and Operations departments to ensure timely delivery and pickup of equipment.
* Ensure purchase orders are raised and completed within the given month.
* Analyze activity and suggest improvement opportunities.
* Ensure the safety of your team and Coates' customers.

Requirements
* Previous transport/fleet/logistics experience.
* Effective time management and attention to detail.
* Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills.
* Previous experience in processing and payment of invoices.
* Experience with scheduling and planning.
* Strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset.
* Transport scheduling software experience (TMS) highly regarded.
