About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Branch Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy branch in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
Working closely with the Branch Manager, you'll play a key role in driving sales performance, leading a small team, and ensuring outstanding customer service across all areas of the branch.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing team leadership, operations, and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
● Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch
● Lead, coach, and develop internal sales, warehouse, and counter teams
● Drive sales growth through new and existing customer relationships
● Manage stock levels, inventory control, and supplier coordination
● Ensure order accuracy, on-time deliveries, and strong branch presentation
● Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
● Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
About You
● Previous experience in a leadership or senior sales role within electrical, trade, or industrial supply
● Proven ability to manage teams and build strong customer relationships
● Strong commercial awareness with a focus on sales and operational performance
● Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
● Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to step up when required
