About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Sales & Marketing Manager will oversee the venue's sales performance and marketing strategy, balancing commercial outcomes with brand integrity. This role is ideal for a confident, relationship-driven professional with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the events, hospitality, or venues industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute the overall sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets
* Manage and mentor the sales team, fostering performance, accountability, and growth
* Drive new business development across corporate, incentive, wedding, and leisure markets
* Maintain and grow key client, agency, and industry partner relationships
* Oversee marketing initiatives including campaigns, digital presence, brand positioning, and collateral
* Collaborate closely with operations, events, and senior leadership to ensure seamless client delivery
* Analyse sales data, pipeline performance, and market trends to inform strategy
* Represent Watersedge at industry events, networking functions, and key trade shows
* Ensure brand consistency and premium positioning across all touchpoints
About You
* Proven experience in a senior sales or sales & marketing role within events, hospitality, or venues
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
* Confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Highly organised, strategic, and results-driven
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, premium environment
* Flexible to support business demands, including occasional evenings or events
* Overseas work experience is highly regarded, particularly within premium hospitality, events, or venues
