Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking two motivated Graduate Underground Mining Engineers to join our team based in Coolgardie, working on an 8/6 roster. This is an excellent opportunity to kick‐start your career in underground mining, with FIFO options from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie.
In this role, you'll gain hands‐on experience, be supported by experienced professionals, and play an active part in real mining operations from day one.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in designing and optimising drill and blast plans with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and performance.
* Develop practical skills in maximising ore recovery and minimising dilution in underground stopes.
* Support short‐term planning and scheduling to keep operations running smoothly.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and mining performance.
* Work closely with experienced engineers and operational teams to build your technical capability and site knowledge.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
* Current WA Manual Driver's Licence (C Class).
* Completion of at least one vacation program within an underground mining environment.
* Exposure to underground hard rock drill and blast practices (experience with long hole open stoping is highly regarded).
* Some exposure to underground operations or having commenced underground time is advantageous.
To be eligible for consideration all applicants must hold appropriate work rights to work in Australia and be willing to undertake the necessary pre‐employment checks which will include a medical and a National Police Check.
