About The Role
This role is responsible for delivering Systems Engineering support within CASG's engineering management system to ensure the effective sustainment of Defence products. The position contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Product-specific Engineering Management Plans (EMP), ensuring alignment with Defence engineering governance frameworks and ASDEFCON standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Engineering Management Plans (EMP) in accordance with ASDEFCON (Support) DID-ENG-MGT-CEMP and SEMP documentation
* Produce planning artefacts that define the Product Engineering Management System
* Execute engineering activities in line with Product schedules, Work Take On agreements, and contractual obligations
* Conduct detailed CDRL (MSTDT) reviews and ensure vendor deliverables meet safety, environmental, and operational requirements
* Support System Safety Working Groups and contribute to safety governance activities
* Manage system reliability including incident response, outages, and disaster recovery considerations
* Maintain configuration baselines and ensure integrity of technical data, including ILS and logistics elements
* Engage with stakeholder Configuration Change Boards (including ICT DDG boards)
* Define and support implementation of System Safety Management Systems
* Ensure workforce capability aligns with engineering requirements (clearance, qualifications, competencies)
* Incorporate obsolescence management and future capacity planning into engineering processes
* Manage interfaces with other Defence capability systems and adapt to evolving Government and Defence requirements
