About the Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital Pharmacy Department is establishing three Senior Pharmacist - Clinical Lead positions within our team. We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and innovative clinical leader for each of our clinical streams – Critical Care, Medical, and Surgical.
The purpose of these newly created roles is to provide clinical leadership within each clinical stream, including training, development, credentialing and mentoring of pharmacists. The Senior Pharmacist - Clinical Lead will also be responsible for quality improvement and safety initiatives within the designated stream and for ensuring the consistency of clinical service provided. The Senior Pharmacist - Clinical Lead positions form part of the Liverpool Hospital Pharmacy Leadership Team and work closely with other Senior Pharmacists, the Deputy Directors of Pharmacy, and the Director of Pharmacy on the clinical operations of the Pharmacy Service.

What You'll Be Doing
To provide optimum pharmaceutical services in the designated specialised area(s) of the Pharmacy Department. This includes operational oversight of this service to ensure staff are adequately trained, policies and legislation are adhered to and that there is a focus on high quality and safe medication management. General leadership, clinical and/or dispensary pharmacy duties may be required by the Director of Pharmacy as part of the role. The pharmacy has responsibility for providing a comprehensive clinical service to ensure safe, effective, outcome based and customer focused care to the patients of the hospital.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in ****, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
