The Role
As an APS 5 Industry Intelligence Analyst / Researcher, you will contribute to the delivery of industry intelligence products that support Defence policy, planning and operational decisions. Working under limited direction, you will apply your analytical skills to research, data collection and analysis, and support the production of intelligence outputs across one or more IIC focus areas.
This is an opportunity to build subject matter expertise, develop your analytical capability, and work on real world issues of national importance within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

* Sound analytical, research and problem solving skills, with the ability to work with data and evidence.
* The ability to communicate analysis clearly in writing and verbally.
* An interest in defence industry, economics, supply chains, policy, data or intelligence work.
* The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work to agreed timeframes.
* A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and develop expertise.
* Experience generating data-driven reports and dashboards.
* Experience using open-soured information and data to undertake analysis and produce intelligence products.
* Experience using data aggregation and analysis platforms.
Eligibility
Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 1”.
