Job Description:
As an Aboriginal Health Practitioner Trainee, you will play a vital role in providing culturally safe care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
* You will work closely with the Emergency Department team and community stakeholders to develop patient-centered treatment plans.
* Supporting Aboriginal patients is a key aspect of this role. You will provide personalized care and assist with assessments, delegated clinical interventions, care planning, and patient education.
* Help patients stay engaged in treatment and avoid unnecessary hospital stays by connecting them with community support services.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals alike.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Undertake a Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
