Your contribution As Director, Reef Partnerships, you will provide senior strategic leadership to coordinate, implement and communicate Queensland Government Reef strategies and programs, ensuring delivery of measurable and enduring Reef health outcomes. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of environmental, communications and project management professionals and work in close partnership with multiple Queensland Government agencies, the Australian Government and a wide range of nongovernment stakeholders. You will have primary responsibility for overseeing the implementation of the Queensland Reef Water Quality Program across multiple departments. This includes establishing and maintaining effective governance arrangements, monitoring and evaluating program performance, managing risks and dependencies, and reporting on progress to senior executives, Ministers and Cabinet. You will lead the development and delivery of investment strategies, including negotiating, managing and leveraging complex investment partnerships with government and nongovernment entities to maximise impact and value for money. The role contributes to the strategic direction of Queensland's Reef strategies and programs, supporting implementation of the Reef 2050 Long Term Sustainability Plan and delivery of Reef election commitments. You will ensure contemporary science is coordinated, applied and clearly communicated to underpin Reef policy, program design and decision making, and support the integration of science across statutory and non-statutory frameworks. You will represent the Office of the Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage and the Queensland Government on high level committees, working groups and forums, and contribute to joint Reef communications, including coordination of the Reef 2050 communications network.
