About The Role
We are seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Officer to join our Launceston team (Hobart applicants also considered). This role offers negotiable hours around 0.8 FTE, with the potential to move to full-time. You will be responsible for managing payments, processing expenses, verifying and reconciling invoices, and maintaining the accounts payable ledger with accuracy and confidentiality.
Attention to detail and a positive, calm approach are essential as you manage multiple priorities and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Complete payment runs, ensuring high accuracy in invoice processing.
Reconcile vendor payments and credit card accounts regularly, maintaining thorough documentation.
Manage and maintain the accounts payable ledger, keeping outstanding approved invoices within set limits.
Process employee expense claims accurately and within seven days of request.
Set up new supplier and vendor accounts end-to-end, following approval protocols.
Maintain and reconcile Wells Fargo and Canon statements and prepare Telstra invoice spreadsheets for approval.
Create invoices for rebates promptly upon receipt of funds.
Prepare and submit detailed End of Month accounts payable reports and manage disputes and RMA invoicing.
About You
The Accounts Payable Officer will be highly experienced (5+ years). Ideally you will have relevant working experience in accounts or some other relevant structured training in accounts. This role will allow you to utilise your knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Office 365. Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
