About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Underground Mechanical Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position that offers an impressive salary and superannuation package.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing customers with proactive advice and support, facilitating flawless start-up of development machines, and supporting engineering activities.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a mechanical trade qualification, experience working underground with longwall mining equipment, and strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Additionally, you will require the ability to work in an autonomous role, provide advanced technical support for development equipment in the field, and engage with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to offer solutions for customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide customers with pro-active advice and support
* Facilitate flawless start-up of development machines
* Support engineering and be directly involved with machine commissioning
* Provide advanced technical support for development equipment in the field
* Coordinate new product field trials and document results including any opportunities for product enhancement
* Collate field data and evidence for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for major failures and unresolved reliability issues
* Engage with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to offer solutions for customer needs
