An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Property Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Living Choice Broadwater Court located on the Central Coast in Kincumber NSW.
Who You are
The position of Property Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on role and will report to, and work with the Village Manager to ensure a customer focused maintenance service is provided.
Thir role will require a high degree of accountability, autonomy, flexibility and a positive approach to the key responsibilities. If you are someone who is organised and solutions-focused and you take pride in, this is the position for you.
The role is full-time and is based at Fullarton from Monday to Friday 7.30am – 3.30pm.
This role will suit someone who is:
* Experienced in property maintenance and who can work individually or within a team environment, ensuring that safe work practices are always maintained.
* Responsible, reliable, and punctual and who can communicate confidently and respectfully with our residents, visitors, staff and external service providers.
* Able to communicate and demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude towards our residents, visitors, staff and external service providers.
* Possess sound relationship management and excellent organisational skills with a broad experience in a range of trades.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform ad-hoc, preventative and programmed repairs and maintenance to the property, buildings and plant and machinery in the village including:
* Minor handyman repairs
* General plumbing
* Painting
* Preventative maintenance work.
* General gardening maintenance including:
* Operating powered gardening equipment to prune and hedge
* Raking up leaves and emptying out bins
* Planting and weeding
* Installing and maintaining drainage and irrigation systems
* Mulching and re-planting gardens as required.
* Drive residents on external excursions using the village bus (12-seater).
Desirable Criteria
* Minimum 3 years relevant experience in repairs, maintenance, with customer service.
* The ability to work in a team and on your own along with flexibility with attitude and approach to responsibilities.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to follow the task through to completion.
* Able to co-ordinate, assist with and supervise trades people when required.
* Understanding of and commitment to WHS requirements.
* Great verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent customer service and working with older people (desirable)
* Experience in a similar role is preferable but not essential.
* Be subject to a satisfactory national police check.
* Willing to undertake a Senior First Aid course.
* Possess a current and valid driver's license.
