The Role
Defence has an ongoing requirement for a Project Manager to work in support of the National Cyber Defence Program on complex projects within an integrated workforce.
Project Managers must be able to demonstrate several years’ experience successfully managing projects that have delivered key capability products within either a Business or ICT Program. In addition, Candidates must be able to demonstrate core project management, communication and leadership skills that enable them to:
initiate, plan, document and resource their projects; manage project governance and delivery; accurately report progress; articulate risk; solve issues and problems; engage stakeholders; lead their team; brief Project Boards; and operate in a collaborative and collegiate style.
Essential criteria
Demonstrated successful delivery of one or more of the following:
On premise, cloud or hybrid Enterprise platforms Major Network deployments Big Data solutions either on premise or in the Cloud Contact centre solutions Internet and/or intranet web sites ICT Outsourcing or strategic partner engagement.Able to demonstrate project management core skills: Project initiation Project planning, resource planning and cost estimation Managing Project Governance Risk and issue Management Project Financial Management Problem solving Managing the lifecycle of the project.Able to demonstrate project manager communication and leadership skills including: Stakeholder management and engagement Team Leadership Board briefings Clear documentation of Project Artefacts Collaborative and Collegiate style
