Role Summary:
A skilled Bricklayer is required to construct and finish brick and block structures, including walls, piers, partitions, and other feature walls.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cut bricks and blocks using hand tools or power equipment to achieve required shapes
* Set out work from plans, ensuring accurate measurements and alignment
* Repair and restore existing masonry/footings where needed
* Check levels, plumb lines and joint consistency throughout the build
* Lay bricks neatly in bonds and patterns that meet project specifications
* Install damp-proofing, ties, lintels, reinforcement and other structural components
* Mix and prepare mortar, adhesives and related materials for daily tasks
* Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe work area
* Work collaboratively with site supervisors, other trades and apprentices
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Bricklaying or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
* Strong understanding of site safety and construction standards
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or in a team
* Physical fitness and capability to handle manual labour
