Join a hardworking team at one of Queensland's largest regional councils, home to the biggest irrigation system in the state.
We're looking for a practical, hands-on Irrigation Maintenance Worker who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into a wide range of irrigation and general labouring work. In this role, you'll be out in the field every day checking systems, finding and fixing leaks, repairing damaged parts, swapping out old components, and helping keep lawns, garden beds and public spaces watered and looking their best. You'll work alongside experienced crew leaders, pitch in with the team, and help sort out basic plumbing and irrigation issues across the region. You'll also carry out site checks to keep work areas safe and tidy, and step into traffic control duties when required. The job can include after-hours and weekend work, and you'll occasionally chat with members of the public, handling enquiries in a friendly and respectful way. If you're reliable, take pride in doing a job well, and enjoy practical outdoor work that keeps your community running, this could be the role for you.
