Primary objective
The Manager Workforce Planning supports the delivery of workforce strategy services and analytics. The role helps agencies
to plan, develop and retain a skilled and diverse workforce aligned to NTPS priorities. The role co-designs practical tools,
strategies and reports that build workforce capability and capacity.
Context statement
The Workforce Development team within DCDD Corporate Services collaborates with NTPS agencies to design and deliver
workforce development solutions, including programs, tools, advisory services and tailored strategies. These offerings help
agencies build, sustain and grow a skilled, agile and future-ready workforce.
Key duties and responsibilities
With support and guidance from an Assistant Director, you will:
1. Partner with client agencies to design and deliver workforce solutions that enhance the employee experience and
increase focus on inclusion and diversity workforce priorities.
2. Facilitate workshops with client agency executives.
3. Translate workforce data and insights to help agencies identify workforce challenges and strategic actions.
1. Support leaders to implement effective practices to strengthen capability, capacity and retention.
2. Support team members to build capabilities and create a collaborative, client-focused culture committed to continuous
improvement.
6. Uphold service quality, governance and work health and safety standards while contributing to a positive workplace
culture consistent with DCDD values.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated project planning experience.
1. Ability to think about the connections between people, processes and outcomes to identify risks and solve problems.
2. Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
3. Ability to build collaborative partnerships and deliver services that meet customer needs.
4. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest,
respectful and innovative.
Desirable
1. Experience leading a small team in the human resources area.
2. Tertiary qualification in workforce planning, organisational development, human resources or business management.
