About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Motorbike Mechanic to help us launch and grow our mechanical services. This is a part-time position, perfect for someone who wants to be part of an exciting start-up atmosphere where your ideas and input really matter. One of the perks of this role, is you can get out of the workshop and onto a bike and take tour groups across the hinterland and coastal areas, yes as a tour guide! While this part of the job doesn't sound like work, it's fulfilling work, knowing that our tour groups have a rad time and get home safe to their families. This is optional for the right person.
Your day-to-day might include:
Servicing, repairing, and maintaining off-road trail bikes (all makes and models) and incidental repairs to on road bikes visiting the area.
Diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical issues
Performing pre and post -delivery of our hire bikes
Keeping our fleet of tour and hire bikes in top condition for safe, reliable riding
Maintaining a clean, organised workshop and following WHS procedures
Occasionally assisting customers with basic advice, tips, and recommendations
Depending on your skills set and knowledge of the Sunshine Coast are, you will have opportunities to sweep ride and work towards tour guide, if this resonates as an opportunity to balance inside and outside work.
About You
We're after someone who:
Holds relevant motorcycle mechanic trade qualifications Has strong general knowledge of off-road trail bikes (not just motocross)
Is reliable, organised, and takes pride in their work. We want our customers to return with confidence that we are a dependable service provider
Enjoys problem-solving and can work independently as well as in a team
Has good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
Holds a current motorcycle licence and driver's licence
