This position is responsible for the technical delivery of the ONSM Flood team's 24/25 capital sustainment program of work. It is within the Observing Networks Service Management (ONSM) Flood team in the Observing Systems and Operations business unit (OSO). Sustaining critical Bureau owned flood network assets from a centralised team will ensure the standardisation of assets across the country and allow for a streamlined project delivery model. 
We seek a suitably qualified and experienced project delivery technician with specific flood network, radio alert, or hydrography instrumentation and installation skills. The role will undertake workshop instrument preparation, field installation, and commissioning activities for 40 flood network station upgrades across Australia. The majority of project activities are in Tasmania and South Australia. Upgrades include various complexities of work at the Flood Warning Network (FWN) radio repeater, river level, and rainfall stations. 
The position will be reporting to the Project Manager (Flood Sustainment) and be within the Observing Systems and Operations/Flood Warning Networks team. The position will work closely with technical flood warning technicians and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of sustainment projects.
