About the role
We're seeking a Site Planner-Scheduler to join our dynamic team in Griffith.
In this key role, you'll coordinate and optimise production schedules, ensuring every order flows through the factory on time, in full, and to spec. Working closely with internal teams and customers, you'll play a vital part in driving efficiency, quality, and service excellence within a global industry leader.
Scheduling (Primary)
* Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring all jobs are planned to meet customer deadlines and strict DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) expectations.
* Monitor and manage scheduling daily, resolving conflicts or delays through effective communication, facilitation, and problem-solving.
* Allocate jobs to appropriate press technologies based on label specifications, material requirements, and production efficiency.
* Liaise regularly with the Production Manager to align planned work with operational capacity, labor availability (including overtime), and performance targets.
* Communicate accurate lead times and delivery schedules to internal teams, adjusting plans as needed to accommodate customer changes or production constraints.
* Identify potential delivery risks early and collaborate with the Services team to implement proactive solutions.
* Assist in planning and coordinating Customer Technical Visits (CTVs), ensuring alignment between Production, Services, and client expectations.
* Maintain accurate capacity and machine performance data to support scheduling accuracy and decision-making.
* Prepare and deliver press performance and schedule updates for production discussions and meetings as required.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in process reviews, identifying efficiency gains, and contributing to cross-functional improvement projects.
* Foster high levels of verbal and written communication across departments, especially between Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Production teams.
* Provide administrative support to the leadership team as required.
* Provide local and group (Intranet) lead-time updates.
* Cooperate on quality investigations related to schedule or production performance issues.
* Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned within the Scheduling and Planning scope.
Planning (Secondary)
* Provide secondary support to the Scheduling function, stepping in as needed to manage planning responsibilities during periods of increased workload, staff absence, or other disruptions that may impact timely scheduling.
* Ensure accurate and timely entry of job specifications and planning data, aligned with established processes, customer requirements, and business KPIs. · Plan and schedule jobs to support cost-effective production and optimal performance outcomes, considering capacity and resource availability.
* Monitor planning workload daily, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and business impact while maintaining quality and compliance.
* Proactively manage and communicate any discrepancies, including pricing or job detail concerns, escalating to the Services or General Manager for resolution and approval.
* Collaborate with CSRs, Production, and Services to address potential delays, ensure smooth workflow, and maintain alignment with customer expectations.
* Maintain a strong focus on the quality and accuracy of planning outputs, ensuring all planned work supports right-first-time production.
* Support continuous improvement by identifying and recommending process enhancements that improve efficiency and data integrity
About you
* Previous experience as a Scheduler, Planner, or in a similar role, preferably in the print manufacturing industry.
* Proficient in relevant software, including the MS Office Suite.
* Experience with planning and scheduling software.
* High level of maturity and credibility to influence others and build/maintain strong internal and external relationships.
* Keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a proactive approach.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
