Role overview:
A Lead Cyber Security Architect (EL2‑equivalent) is required to design, assure, and guide secure technology architectures across major digital systems. The role focuses on uplift across various platforms, ensuring systems are secure by design, compliant with Australian Government cyber security frameworks, and resilient against emerging threats.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and document cyber security architectures.Review solution and design artefacts to ensure alignment with ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight and other mandated controls.Provide expert guidance to architects, designers, and delivery teams on cyber security and communicate security gaps or risks across the technology ecosystem.Support system authorisation and assurance activities, including IRAP assessments.What We’re Looking For
Approximately 10 years’ experience across IT environments in security architecture, secure application design, or related domains – strongly desirable.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.Strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Deep understanding of public‑sector cyber governance and compliance, including ISM, PSPF, and Essential Eight.Proven experience delivering cyber security architecture in complex ICT environments.Experience supporting system authorisation and assurance processes, including IRAP.Role Specifics:
