System Services BeyondBiz delivers specialised support and maintenance services for critical business equipment across various industries. We are expanding our Townsville operations and are seeking a hands‐on Field Service Technician with robust mechanical and technical skills.
The Role
This is a casual field‐based role (20–30 hours per week) where you will install, maintain, and repair self‐contained service equipment at customer sites. The role suits someone who enjoys practical, hands‐on work, troubleshooting faults, and working with both mechanical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and commission equipment at customer sites
* Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
* Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing
* Replace and calibrate components (sensors, modules, moving parts)
* Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime
* Conduct testing to ensure equipment operates correctly
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation
* Follow safety procedures and compliance standards
Skills & Experience
* Experience working with electro‐mechanical equipment (automated systems, machinery, or similar)
* Robust hands‐on troubleshooting and repair skills
* Ability to read and interpret basic technical diagrams
* Familiarity with tools and diagnostic equipment

* Willingness to travel within the Townsville region
Preferred Qualifications
* Trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related)
* Field service or maintenance experience
* Valid driver's licence and reliable car
Casual Pay & Benefits
* Hourly rate: $36.04 to $37.74 (includes super and casual loading)
* Flexible 20–30 hour per week
