With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Due to continued growth, Arcadis is seeking an experienced in-house lawyer to join our high-performing Legal, Compliance and Privacy (LCP) team as Legal Counsel.
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel (SLC), you will support and drive the effective delivery of legal outcomes for the business.
This role offers the opportunity to work with industry leaders alongside a great team.
Candidates based in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne are encouraged to apply.Role accountabilities:Manage contract reviews and negotiations efficiently and effectively on a daily basis.Ensure compliance with the LCP team's processes in reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts.Provide legal advice and support during project delivery, assisting LCP team members with issues as they arise.Support the SLC and other team members on contentious claims.Facilitate and participate in training staff on legal issues, including contract law, conditions, and administration (including Security of Payment legislation).Develop and maintain relationships across disciplines and functions, acting as a trusted legal advisor to the wider business.Collaborate with law clerks and other team members on projects requiring additional resources.Qualifications & Experience:At least 2 years' experience in contract review and negotiation within construction or professional services contracts.Interest or experience in construction, infrastructure, resources, design, consultancy, or engineering is advantageous.Law degree from an Australian university or recognized legal qualification.Current practicing certificate.Strong interpersonal skills with proven negotiation experience.Experience working with diverse backgrounds and cultures is preferred.Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills.Why Arcadis?We believe everyone's contribution matters and are committed to empowering our employees to be their best.
