The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mining Account Manager to manage and grow key client relationships across many of Australia's most well-known miners. This role focuses on trust, retention, and strategic growth and a deep understanding of major developments within the Australian mining landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage senior relationships across major mining clients, both across the boardroom and very importantly, on-site.
* Understand internal decision-making structures and influences within blue-chip miners.
* Act as the primary commercial interface between Shermac and key mining accounts.
* Navigate operational, commercial, and executive discussions with confidence, with a developed detailed knowledge of Shermac's product offerings.
* Identify growth opportunities within existing client portfolios, including mine expansions and new openings, shutdowns and refurbishment / replacement asset timeframes.
* Resolve issues proactively and maintain long-term client quality relationships.
* Ensure cross-sell opportunities are maximised with Shermac's Parts division.
About You
* Extensive, demonstrated experience managing senior accounts in mining – with knowledge and experience working in a similar role in Western Australia's mining sector and / or capital equipment sales.
* Strong background working on mine sites and major construction projects, both at contract negotiation and ongoing relationship management.
* Proven ability to identify and anticipate client upcoming needs, and to provide the most effective solution given the client's operating environment.
* Calm, professional, and solutions-focused approach – across different target audiences.
* Strong commercial and contract management capability.
