Job Description
Pioneer Catchment Landcare seeks an experienced professional to lead the delivery of environmental restoration and conservation activities across our diverse catchment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and deliver on-ground works in line with project work plans and ecological best practice.
* Supervise and mentor a small team of Field Officers and casual staff, ensuring safe and high-quality implementation of restoration and conservation activities.
* Develop and implement job safety and environmental analysis (JSEA), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and risk assessments tailored to each project site.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Technical Expertise:
* Certificate III or IV in Conservation & Ecosystem Management, Environmental Management, Horticulture, Agriculture, or similar.
* Experience delivering restoration or land management projects on time and within budget.
* Strong plant identification skills, particularly local native species, priority habitat plants, and regionally significant weed species.
* Accreditation under the Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Act (ACDC), or willingness to obtain.
Leadership and Communication Skills:
* Minimum 2-3 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.
* Experience coordinating community events, volunteer programs, or educational sessions.
* First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
