This role has direct responsibility for developing and executing the short to medium term direction of the Meals portfolio (namely the Brand Plans and execution into the Annual Operating Commitment), and role requires a Brand Marketer with a strong commercial lens, who understands the marketing tools well, and uses this knowledge to develop and execute the business plan, communication strategy, portfolio optimisation and innovation plan, delivering brand growth to ensure delivery against FY targets.
This role works closely with the Marketing Lead, and a close cross functional tie specifically with Category and National Sales Managers to ensure delivery of the marketing plans by account. This Manager needs to have well directed energy and be able to quickly identify and execute critical brand, NPD and campaign opportunities to ensure the delivery of business and brand objectives.

- Takes active ownership of building the Meals portfolio strategy into brand plans
- Participation in the development of Long-Range Plans
- Lead the development of an innovation pipeline
- Work closely with key stakeholders to actively drive all elements of the innovation process
- Demonstrate exceptional project management skills
Drive Consumer Focus / Consumer Excellence
- Capture and translate key consumer and market insights into commercial opportunities
- Develop creative and innovative marketing activation campaigns
- Evaluate the effectiveness of activation programs and recommend changes if necessary
- Liaise with external agencies/Procurement to develop and print packaging/marketing collatoral
- Develop and present category reviews to Retail customers
- Assist with investigation of quality, delivery or service complaints
Achieve Business Excellence
- Ensure a robust understanding of the key drivers for the brand/category
- Regularly review sku margins/costs against agreed key performance indicators
- Have input into the pricing and promotions management of the brand portfolio
- Input in the IBP proess where required
- Management of the Meals A&P budget
- Ensure the company complies with legal requirements
- Actively strives for a collaborative team with transparent relationships
- Creates inclusive and collaborative relationships with key external suppliers
**About you**
- Degree qualified in Marketing or related field
- Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a brand marketing, ideally in FMCG food
- Extensive NPD and project management experience, preferably in FMCG food
- Sound commercial and financial acumen and technical/operational exposure
- Ability to work strategically and operationally, adaptable to fast paced, changing and ambiguous environments
- High degree of tenacity and persistence to get actions completed on schedule
- Highly organised with premium analytical skills, able to interpret and present large detailed amounts of information
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to inspire results
- Proven track record in collaborating with teams to deliver complex projects
- Highly organised and methodical in budgeting, planning and reporting
- Courage to challenge the status quo, encouraging creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, and IRI or AC Nielsen
