We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth across Victoria and strengthen our presence in the road transport sector.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role suited to someone with strong industry knowledge and experience selling capital equipment in a B2B environment. You will play a key role in market expansion, customer engagement, and contributing to product development and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the road transport trailer manufacturing sector
* Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
* Understand client needs and provide tailored product solutions
* Prepare and deliver proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales
* Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the Victorian market
* Assist in new product development and model improvements
* Manage licensing and customer permit requirements
* Oversee trailer handovers, warranty approvals, and post-delivery follow-up
* Ensure all customer orders meet BRE’s quality, safety, and compliance standards
* Maintain accurate records of sales activity and report performance metrics
* Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions
* Collaborate with internal engineering and production teams to ensure seamless delivery
About You
You are commercially driven, relationship-focused, and confident operating autonomously. You bring credibility within the heavy transport or manufacturing sector and understand the technical and regulatory landscape.
Essential:
* Minimum 5 years’ industry experience
* Experience selling capital equipment in a B2B environment
* Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proven ability to meet deadlines and close sales effectively
Desirable:
* Experience in heavy vehicle road transport manufacturing sales
* Heavy Combination (HC) Licence
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets
* Strong technical or trade background
* Knowledge of transport laws and regulations
* Multi Combination (MC) Licence
* Relevant trade qualification or Diploma/Degree in Business or Engineering
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
