Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cook to prepare and cook a variety of seafood dishes and meals. The Cook will ensure that food is prepared efficiently, safely, and to the high standards expected by our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present a range of seafood and dishes according to the business standards
* Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and quality
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and workplace cleanliness
* Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies as needed
* Assist in portion control, menu preparation, and food presentation
* Follow safe food handling procedures and comply with relevant health regulations
* Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining consistent quality
* Support team members and assist with training new kitchen staff
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Experience preparing seafood or working in fish & chips outlets
* Previous experience as a Cook in a fast-paced working environment
* Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and cooking procedures
* Ability to work under pressure and meet customer demand during peak hours
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
