We are seeking a skilled Surgical Nurse with anaesthesia skills to complete our specialist surgery team - and most importantly, make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families.
This is a Part-time role. We provide the highest standard of nursing and patient care and we are seeking a qualified veterinary nurse to join our friendly, dynamic surgical team.
As a Surgery Vet Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
* Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care
* Surgery Preparation & Theatre Nursing
* Provide expert nursing care during complex surgical procedures, including anaesthesia and monitoring.
* Carry out diagnostic tests
* Collaborate with the surgical team, and all departments, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
* Administer medications and follow established protocols
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Provide education and support to patients and their families
* Willingness to when needed, help the other department nurses, which is integral to maintain a team atmosphere
About You:
* Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary nursing
* Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and procedures
* Proficient anaesthesia skills with the ability to monitor patients safely and effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and client service
