About the Role
We are seeking a qualified chef to join our kitchen team, working under the guidance of the Head Chef. This is a hands-on role for someone with formal culinary qualifications and a passion for producing high-quality dishes. The role involves preparing meals, supporting kitchen operations, and assisting in training junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the Head Chef's instructions
* Assist with menu execution, specials, and seasonal offerings
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen according to HACCP standards
* Manage stock, ordering, and minimising wastage
* Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety regulations
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and an excellent guest experience
About You
* Formal culinary qualification (certificate or diploma) is required
* Proven experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in hospitality or tourism
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safe handling
* Ability to follow instructions from the Head Chef and work efficiently under pressure
* Passion for creating high-quality dishes with attention to detail
* Reliable, organised, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Eligibility Requirement
This position is open only to Visa Holders with unlimited work rights. Proof of work rights in Australia will be required.
