About the Position
As an Assistant Educator – Pre-Preparatory at St Hilda's School, you are responsible for supporting the Teacher in implementing the daily learning activities, helping to prepare materials and set up learning environments, supporting transitions between activities and routines, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment that enables all children to achieve their potential. All work undertaken as an Assistant Educator is performed under the direction and guidance of the teaching staff. The position actively supports identification and delivery of the Centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and acts as an ambassador for St Hilda's Pre-Preparatory.
About You
1. Experience & Knowledge
* Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care
* Experience working in a school environment (kindy/preschool experience) is highly desirable
* Understanding of the educational, social and emotional needs of children, including those with learning needs.
2. Skills & Abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively within the Pre-Preparatory community, working alongside classroom teachers to assist in developing resources, deliver programs and provide adjustments for children where required
* Ability to work with children who possess different abilities, pace of learning and learning styles
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to enhance connections with children, parents and Teachers.
