About Your New Role - Senior Accountant
Our client, a renowned chartered accounting firm, is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Accountant to join their talented team. This exciting role offers the chance to step into a strategic position, refine your leadership skills, and shape your path toward a future in management
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- End to end Accounts payable and receivable management, including invoice processing, daily/weekly & monthly payments, and debtor follow-up.
- Processing international and overseas payments across multiple currencies
- Credit card reconciliations and expense management.
- Cash flow analysis, monitoring and forecasting to support business planning
- Multiple currency Bank account reconciliations.
- Month-end reporting, including P&L; and variance analysis.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining pre-payment register.
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS/GST returns.
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Payroll oversight and ensuring compliance with superannuation and leave entitlements
- Maintaining and improving internal financial controls and processes.
- Assisting in the implementation and use of Cargowise financial modules
- Liaising with external accountants as required.
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to management to support strategic decisions
What you will need to succeed
- Solid experience in accounting or financial control (ideally within freight forwarding)
- Knowledge of BAS and tax compliance requirements
- Senior Accountant experience
- Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
- Experience managing international payments and multi-currency transactions
- Proficiency with Cargowise
