About the role:
We are currently seeking a Part‑Time Assistant Team Leader for our Moolap service. This is a part time position, with a commitment of 37 hours per fortnight.
As an Assistant Team Leader, your role involves collaborating closely with our dedicated team to offer extensive support to individuals with disabilities. This includes contributing to the implementation of support plans, advocating for our clients, and fostering an empowering environment conducive to personal growth and independence.
Your duties will entail providing comprehensive assistance across various areas such as personal care, health, community access, and independent living. This involves executing Behaviour Support Plans, NDIS, and Health Care Plans, while employing effective communication techniques.
Furthermore, your responsibilities encompass maintaining client records, managing household finances, planning culturally appropriate meals within safety parameters, overseeing administrative tasks, participating in the development of health and safety procedures, and actively participating in mandatory training sessions, staff meetings, and appointments.
25 hours Residential Support Work + 12 Hours Assistant Team Leader
Week 1: Thurs: 8am-10am, Tues: 8am-10am
Week 2: Thurs:7am-9am, Fri: 7am-9am and 3pm-10pm Sleepover, Sat: 6am-9am, Mon: 3:30pm-6:30pm, Tues: 8am-10am, Wed: 7am-9am
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Proven experience in a similar role within the disability support or healthcare sector.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to handle administrative responsibilities effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
* Sound knowledge of disability support services, regulations, and best practices.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* A compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
Please note that the following compliance documents are required if successful for the role:
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
* NDIS Workers Orientation module Certificate of completion
* Valid Australian Driver's License
* Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status)
* Current First Aid & CPR certificate
* Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
