The Opportunity
This opportunity will require the successful candidate to work independently, across multiple sites, while providing a broad range of maintenance services throughout the Gippsland Region. The role will include but is not limited to internal and external building maintenance, painting, site enhancement work, shopfitting works and the construction and repairs of furniture.
The Maintenance Specialist manages their works via a planned preventative and reactive maintenance program with the support of our purpose build systems and the wider City Team.
Your cluster will be based in the Gippsland Region. Including but not limited to, Morwell, Traralgon, Warragul, Phillip Island, Wonthaggi and Bairnsdale.
Your key responsibilities
* Provide repairs and maintenance services to our Partners.
* Work across multiple disciplines, including carpentry, joinery, shopfitting, plastering, painting and tiling.
* Work without supervision to proactively anticipate and resolve issues.
* Be an effective communicator and develop strong partnerships.
* Be conversant with OHS guidelines and experienced in the maintenance of safe workplaces.
* Work within self-managed teams.
To be considered for this role you will have / be
* Drivers Licence
* Previous construction or metal trades experience.
* Proven experience working under limited supervision.
* Strong building fabrication knowledge.
* Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
