One vacancy fixed for 4 years is available

Power and Water Corporation is a Northern Territory Government (NTG) owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and within a range of diverse environmental conditions, ranging from the arid dry of the central desert to the tropical monsoon of the top end. The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory (NT) for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.

An excellent opportunity now exists for a Senior Manager Asset Management to join our experienced and successful corporation based in Darwin, Northern Territory. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the asset management strategy of one of the Northern Territory's most crucial infrastructure organisations operating in the dynamic and evolving Northern Territory energy market.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive General Manager Power Services, you will lead the asset management function across Power and Water's electricity assets, ensuring alignment with the corporation's standards and asset management policies. Your leadership will guide the development of strategic asset plans, oversee capital and operational planning, and ensure regulatory alignment and risk informed decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement strategic asset management plans across Power Services.

* Lead and support capability development within the asset management team, fostering high performance culture.
* Support the integration and consistent use of asset data systems to drive effective decision making.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to business strategy, capital planning, and regulatory engagement.

The role is based in Darwin and cannot be performed remotely from an interstate location.

About You

Ideally having been exposed to a modern electricity distribution or transmission asset environment, you are a strategic leader with extensive experience translating asset management principles into operational excellence and long term planning. You bring strong commercial acumen, risk awareness, the ability to work under pressure, and the skills to lead teams through change while maintaining essential service outcomes in a regulated environment.

Your ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and develop high performing teams sets you apart. A degree in engineering, asset management or a related field is essential, with post graduate qualifications viewed favourably.

Why Join Us?
