We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. About the role
GrainCorp is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor, based at our Portland Site to ensure daily site operations are carried out safely to meet customer expectations. The responsibilities of the role will include:
* Manage daily site operations and staff
* Optimise receival and shipping operations, cleaning and pest control activities
* Co-ordinate the movement of commodities through the terminal
About your experience
Candidates will have prior management experience with an understanding of either port operations or experience in a supply chain environment. Candidates will also display:
* Ability to liaise with customers and understand their requirements
* An understanding of road, rail and shipping
* Strong communication skills, both written
* Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office programs
* General knowledge and understanding of OH&S and Work Cover legislation
* Experience in operating machinery is highly beneficial
