We are seeking a talented and detail-driven Building Designer to join our dynamic design team. This role offers the opportunity to bring innovative residential concepts to life, from individual homes through to large-scale masterplanned communities, delivering high-quality designs and documentation that balance creativity with practical buildability.
What you'll do
* Create innovative residential designs, drawings and documentation for each stage of the design process
* Contribute to the design of cohesive, sustainable masterplanned communities
* Liaise with internal teams and external consultants to coordinate design outcomes
* Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and design guidelines
* Identify cost-effective, buildable solutions that align with the design brief
* Manage documentation flow, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality
* Present concepts with clarity, creativity and attention to detail
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years' experience in residential projects
* Tertiary qualifications in Architecture or Building Design
* Proficiency in ArchiCAD (non-negotiable)
* Revit experience is desirable but not essential
* Proficiency in SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign
* Strong understanding of building codes and standards
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* Flexible mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach
* Ability to positively influence and contribute to a supportive team culture
