Permanent full-time
38 Hours per week, 7-day rotating roster, morning and afternoon shifts.
Salary: $82,266 - $85,230 per annum + 12% super + shift penalties

The City of Fremantle is looking to appoint a motivated and energetic leading hand to support and lead one of our sweeping and cleansing crews.
The Waste and Cleansing teams undertake a variety of tasks to ensure a vibrant and welcoming City for residents and visitors alike, including footpath sweeping, road sweeping, high pressure cleaning, scrubbing, waste collection, bin cleaning and removal of illegal dumping.
The City's Waste and Cleansing team provide high level of street cleansing and public area amenity operating 7 days per week with a morning (03:00 -12:00) and afternoon (11:45 – 21:45) shift on rotating roster.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinate and Supervise the Cleansing team.
* Operate all Waste and Cleansing vehicles, plant and equipment, including but not limited to high pressure cleaners, and road and footpath sweepers
* Complete cleansing schedules in line with service level agreements
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters pertaining to Waste and Cleansing service delivery, providing excellent customer service.
* Undertake daily vehicle, plant and equipment checks ensuring any damage or maintenance issues is reported to the mechanical workshop.
To be considered for this position, you will need:
* HR Drivers licence
* Previous experience operating waste and cleansing plant, fleet and equipment, including, buggies, rear loading waste trucks, road and footpath sweepers, scrubbers and high-pressure units.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team.
* Knowledge, skills, and ability to work with information technology at an intermediate level.
* Ability to work flexible hours including shift rosters, evenings and working weekends.
